A Message from the Chairman

Over the years, we have strengthened our governance through an ongoing process of implementing best practices which the Board considers are appropriate and effective for Ivernia and its shareholders. Our most recent Management Information Circular contains a detailed description on our progress and all of our policies.

In 2007, we formalized and made public our commitment to sustainability with our Community, Health and Safety and Environmental policies. The guiding principles in these policies are as follows:

Community

Ivernia places the utmost importance on the health and safety of our employees, contractors and visitors to our workplaces. We are committed to continue to improve our health and safety performance and become an industry leader in health and safety management.

Environment
Ivernia’s mission is to explore, develop, operate and close mines in a way that ensures long-term environmental stability. The Company recognizes the importance of environmental management.
We are committed to implementing and maintaining best environmental practice, and continuously improving our environmental performance through review, assessment and reporting.
